Next week, EastEnders will pull out all the stops as the long-awaited 40th-anniversary celebration unfolds in an explosive way: Who will d.i.e in the flames?

Next week in EastEnders, the much-anticipated 40th anniversary arrives with a dramatic and fiery spectacle that promises to shake Albert Square to its core.

Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) is relentless in her pursuit of justice, determined to uncover the identity of her attacker once and for all.

Meanwhile, Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) is back, and his reign of terror places Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) in grave danger.

As if that weren’t enough, The Queen Vic becomes the epicenter of disaster when a devastating explosion erupts,

putting lives at risk and ensuring that not everyone will make it out alive.

Meanwhile, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) finds herself at the heart of a love dilemma, and the final choice of her romantic future is left in the hands of the viewers.

Here’s everything that unfolds in Walford from Monday, February 17th, to Thursday, February 20th.

Monday, February 17 – Cindy’s Shocking Accusation

Love takes center stage as Billy (Perry Fenwick) and Honey (Emma Barton) prepare for their long-awaited wedding. This is their fourth attempt at saying “I do,” and their friends and family are determined to make it a celebration to remember.

However, while the Mitchells are caught up in wedding preparations, Phil (Steve McFadden) is struggling behind the scenes. His brother Grant (Ross Kemp) tries to lift his spirits, but Phil remains troubled, ultimately making a decision that could have serious consequences.

Meanwhile, tensions reach a boiling point between Cindy and Ian (Adam Woodyatt) at the café after a revelation from Priya (Sophie Khan Levy). Later, Cindy crashes the wedding reception at The Vic with an explosive accusation, publicly naming the person she believes attacked her. As the stunned guests watch in shock, Cindy takes things even further—later in the night, she catches one of her suspects in a compromising position and, in a shocking twist, pulls a gun on them.

Elsewhere, Denise is caught in an emotional battle as Jack (Scott Maslen) and Ravi (Aaron Thiara) fight for her heart. Meanwhile, Martin (James Bye) is torn between his love for Stacey (Lacey Turner) and his commitment to Ruby (Louisa Lytton). Stacey, struggling with her feelings, attempts to move on, but Jean (Gillian Wright) encourages her to be honest with Martin before it’s too late.

At No. 25, Sonia urges Bianca (Patsy Palmer) to attend the wedding, hoping to restore a sense of normality. However, an unexpected confrontation with Grant leaves Bianca rattled, reigniting old tensions.

Tuesday, February 18 – The Return of Reiss and a Deadly Showdown

Phil’s concerning behavior escalates, prompting Linda (Kellie Bright) to take action. She discovers something at No. 55 that confirms her worst fears about his fragile state of mind. Alarmed, she teams up with Grant and Nigel (Paul Bradley) to intervene before tragedy strikes.

Meanwhile, Cindy’s confrontation intensifies as she faces off with the person holding her missing locket. Just when she thinks she has the upper hand, an unexpected twist changes everything.

Back at the wedding, romance is in the air, and Jean urges Stacey to seize the moment and confess her true feelings to Martin. At the same time, Zack (James Farrar) makes a surprising confession to Martin, revealing a past affair with Nicola (Laura Doddington).

While Sonia and Bianca enjoy the celebrations, they are blissfully unaware that Reiss has returned to Walford. Later, Bianca comes face-to-face with her worst nightmare when Reiss sneaks into her home, sparking a terrifying confrontation. As emotions run high, a series of events set off a catastrophic explosion at The Queen Vic, sending shockwaves through Albert Square.

Wednesday, February 19 – Trapped in The Vic’s Inferno

At The Arches, Grant, Linda, and Nigel desperately try to reach Phil, fearing he may take drastic action. However, Phil is at his lowest point and sees no way out—can his loved ones convince him to reconsider?

Meanwhile, The Vic is engulfed in chaos following the explosion. Inside, several Walford residents find themselves trapped as the building teeters on the brink of collapse. Outside, Jack and other heroic figures do everything they can to rescue as many people as possible, but the situation quickly becomes life-threatening. Tragically, not everyone will make it out alive.

As the disaster unfolds, Denise arrives back in Albert Square, just in time to witness the horror. With both Ravi and Jack caught up in the chaos, she is forced to confront her true feelings. In a historic moment for EastEnders, viewers will get to decide who she chooses, with a vote opening at 8:30 pm on the EastEnders website.

Thursday, February 20 – Live Episode and a Fight for Survival

In a rare live broadcast, EastEnders delivers an edge-of-your-seat finale to anniversary week. The situation at The Vic worsens, and those still trapped inside face a terrifying race against time. With debris falling and fire spreading, every second counts.

Sonia finds herself in a dire situation as she goes into labor amidst the devastation. With no medical professionals available, she is forced to rely on two panicked individuals for help. Will she and her baby survive the night?

Outside, the entire Square watches anxiously, hoping for a miracle. As rescue efforts continue, one resident will make the ultimate sacrifice, ensuring that EastEnders’ 40th-anniversary celebration will be one that fans never forget.
