General Hospital’s Dr. Bradford Anderson reflects on Leslie Charleson and teases a big surprise he’s preparing to bring to GH!

General Hospital’s Bradford Anderson, known for his role as the quirky yet lovable Spinelli, has built strong friendships with many of his castmates over the years.

His camaraderie with Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) is well-known, with the two often entertaining fans through their podcast and live comedy performances.

However, Anderson’s recent interaction with another co-star, Josh Kelly (Cody), has highlighted yet another bond he shares with his colleagues.

From their shared passion for charity work to their deep admiration for the late Leslie Charleson, Anderson has plenty of heartwarming stories to tell.

Raising Funds for a Worthy Cause

Bradford Anderson recently spoke to Michael Fairman TV, where he reflected on the success of a recent fundraising event he co-hosted with Josh Kelly.

The event, titled Daytime Makes a Difference, was aimed at raising money for victims of the devastating Los Angeles Wildfires. Anderson shared his enjoyment of working with Kelly on this cause, noting that although their friendship is relatively new, the connection between them is undeniable.

“I’ve known Josh for a short time, but we really enjoy each other,” Anderson explained. “We’ve done a couple of events together, including at Graceland, and he’s just so lovable, that guy.”

Their bond appears to be one of mutual respect and admiration, with Anderson praising Kelly’s character and kindness. Anderson recounted a particularly thoughtful gesture from Kelly that demonstrated his genuine nature. Kelly keeps a sign-in book in his dressing room, which Anderson described in detail.

“If you’re assigned Josh’s room (because he’s not working that day), the sign-in book says, ‘First of all, congratulations, you’re on a TV show today. Be very proud of yourself. There’s sparkling water in the fridge. Enjoy this day. If you want to leave a remembrance or tell me who was in my room, I would love to hear from you,’” Anderson shared.

The sign-in book serves as a welcoming gesture for new actors on set, putting them at ease and making them feel comfortable in what could be a nerve-wracking environment. Kelly’s approach is a reminder of how kindness can have a lasting impact on others, especially in an industry where nerves can often get the best of people just starting out.

Remembering Leslie Charleson’s Legacy

Anderson also took the opportunity to reflect on the legacy of General Hospital legend Leslie Charleson, who played Monica Quartermaine for an incredible 47 years. Charleson passed away at the age of 79, and her death has left a significant void within the show’s cast and the hearts of her many fans. Anderson was particularly vocal about how much she will be missed, noting the special place she held in the GH family.

“She’ll be missed,” Anderson stated. “But the cool thing is that there’s so much happening in the main Quartermaine house again. It’s a shame that she can’t be there.”

Though Charleson’s passing is a heartbreaking moment for the cast and fans alike, Anderson’s reflections serve as a reminder of the lasting impact she had on those who worked with her. One of the most cherished memories Anderson shared was from a time when Charleson appeared on his podcast. Originally known as That’s Awesome!, Anderson and Burton’s podcast was later renamed Daily Drama. During an episode featuring Charleson as a guest, Anderson fondly recalled a moment of playful banter between the actress and Burton.

“The thing that I remember the most is when we sat down with her for those two hours on the podcast, and she said, ‘Steve, go to your room,’” Anderson laughed. “That was my favorite thing she’s ever said. No one can put Steve in his place like Leslie could. Steve and Leslie had such a connection.”

This moment exemplifies the deep and loving friendship between Charleson and Burton, and it’s clear that her impact went beyond the screen. She was a maternal figure to many, and her no-nonsense attitude, combined with her nurturing presence, made her an integral part of the General Hospital family.

Anderson’s Deep Gratitude for His Castmates

Through his various experiences with his co-stars, Anderson’s admiration for those he works with is evident. Whether he’s working alongside Burton on their podcast or hosting a charitable event with Kelly, Anderson’s connection to his colleagues is marked by genuine respect and affection. Moreover, his reflection on Leslie Charleson’s legacy demonstrates the strong bonds formed on set and the lasting impact cast members have on each other.

As General Hospital continues to evolve, Anderson’s stories offer a heartfelt reminder of the relationships that go beyond the scripts and storylines. Fans will always remember Leslie Charleson for her dedication to the show, and thanks to the fond memories shared by her castmates, her legacy will live on.
