Following Suzy Merton’s tragic demise, actress Michelle Hardwick has opened up about the emotional toll of filming and what lies ahead for her character, Vanessa Woodfield.

Suzy, played by Martelle Edinborough, perished instantly in the devastating limo crash, which also claimed the lives of Leyla Harding and Amy Barton. Despite Liam Cavanagh’s desperate attempts to save her, Suzy was declared dead, leaving Vanessa faced with the harrowing decision to abandon her in order to survive.

Reflecting on the emotional impact of the scene, Michelle revealed, “The point when Vanessa had to leave her [Suzy] in there was so heartbreaking and horrific.”
