Dylan and Becca (Becca Ashton), fellow rough sleepers, took April under their wing after she was left stranded on the streets. 

Tragically, Becca lost her life while protecting April from a thief, and Dylan turned to April for support as he struggled with grief and his addiction.

Marlon (Mark Charnock) and Rhona (Zoë Henry) initially had their doubts about Dylan but eventually allowed him to stay after April pleaded with them. However, the situation takes a dark turn when Rhona discovers a vial of ketamine missing from the veterinary surgery. All signs point to Dylan, and when the vial is found in his coat pocket, April is devastated.
