Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) was worried about his growing feelings for Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) in EastEnders.
The taxi driver returned to Albert Square yesterday after spending a few days in Greece with Jean Slater (Gillian Wright). He explained to Kathy that Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) needed more help with childcare and didn’t mind returning.
Also last night, Harvey was on hand to support Kathy when she had her bag nicked by a young man in the pub. Kathy injured her leg during this, so Harvey jumped at the chance to support her.
Taking Kathy back to the café, Harvey started to help with tidying up. He was spotted by Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) who grew suspicious and wondered what was going on.

Harvey told Kat that he’s just friends with Kathy, but she couldn’t help remind him of Maya Houssain (Bharti Patel), someone he befriended and then started giving money to, all while keeping Jean in the dark.
It was clear the comments from Kat impacted Harvey as tonight, he was a little reluctant to return to the pub for another drink with Kathy.
He covered by saying he needed to get back and look after the children, but it left Kathy feeling as though Harvey was avoiding her.
When she later found Harvey in the pub, Kathy knew she was right.
Harvey admitted he was worried about hanging out with his mate in case Kat misunderstood what was going on. Kathy pointed out that neither of them are teenagers so really, they can do what they want and ignore worries from other people.
Harvey knew she was right and agreed to the drink after all.
They’re friends for now, but is this a sign their connection will turn into something more?
Does heartbreak lie ahead for Jean?
