Nicola Mitchell, played by Laura Doddington, found herself in quite a predicament in the

 latest episode of EastEnders, but in true Nicola fashion, she was quick to devise a way out. The events unfolded in the hospital, where Barney, played by Lewis Bridgeman, was recovering from a rupture in an abdominal injury. While doctors monitored his condition, 

the discussion turned to whether he might require an additional blood transfusion. 

During this conversation, Nicola casually mentioned that Barney’s blood type was AB.

This seemingly minor detail immediately raised suspicions, particularly for Zack Hudson, played by James Farrar. He knew that Nicola’s blood type was A, as was Teddy’s, played by Roland Manookian. Given basic biology, two parents with type A blood could not produce a child with type AB blood. Realizing that something didn’t add up, Zack couldn’t shake the feeling that he might be Barney’s biological father.

Ruby, caught off guard, immediately rejected him, making it clear that she wasn’t interested in anything romantic.

Embarrassed by his misstep, Zack shifted his focus back to the real issue at hand—Nicola’s deception. Fueled by frustration and a sense of injustice, he decided he couldn’t just let it go. He confronted Nicola once more, this time with an ultimatum. Either she told Barney the truth about his biological father, or Zack would go straight to Teddy and reveal everything himself.

As she sat by Barney’s bedside, waiting for the right moment to speak, he suddenly woke up and blurted out an entirely unexpected piece of information.

Without giving her a chance to say anything, Barney revealed that he had just learned that Sharon Watts had slept with Grant Mitchell, played by Ross Kemp, just the other day. Overwhelmed by the weight of the secret, he admitted that he had no idea how to handle the information.
