EastEnders legend Michelle Collins has confirmed she will be absent from the live broadcast episode despite being part of the main storyline because she feels utterly disgusted with the bosses! What’s going on?

The 40th anniversary week of EastEnders brings a surge of emotional turmoil,

rekindling old rivalries between two of the show’s most iconic characters: Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) and Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp).

This long-awaited confrontation unfolds as the two former enemies cross paths once again in Walford, stirring up painful memories from the past.

Their reunion, set against the backdrop of Honey and Billy Mitchell’s wedding, promises explosive drama.

Grant’s return to Walford has been motivated by family loyalty.

He came back to support his brother Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) during a difficult period in which Phil is struggling with his mental health.

Bianca, meanwhile, has made sporadic appearances over the last year, still haunted by her turbulent history with Grant.

For those familiar with the show, the tension between them dates back to the 1990s, when they both played central roles in one of EastEnders’ most tragic storylines.

In the late ‘90s, Grant was married to Bianca’s best friend, Tiffany Mitchell (Martine McCutcheon). The couple’s marriage was marred by infidelity and strife, particularly after it was revealed that Grant had been having an affair with Bianca’s mother, Louise Raymond (Carol Harrison). Tensions between the two escalated until one fateful New Year’s Eve in 1998. During a bitter argument, Grant and Tiffany had a heated confrontation, which ultimately led to Tiffany being struck and killed by Frank Butcher’s (Mike Reid) car. Tiffany’s tragic death, witnessed by friends and family, deeply scarred Bianca, leading her to harbor a longstanding resentment toward Grant, whom she blamed for the events that led to her best friend’s demise.

Despite their fractured relationship, Bianca’s personal life has moved forward. She named her daughter after Tiffany in an emotional tribute. However, the scars of her past remain, especially when it comes to Grant. This week, Bianca and her sister Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) are still trying to rebuild their lives following the trauma caused by Sonia’s fiancé, Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman), who was revealed to be a murderer. With Reiss still at large, Sonia is desperate to restore some normality to their lives, encouraging Bianca to attend Honey and Billy’s wedding. Initially resistant, Bianca reluctantly agrees to join her sister at the celebration.

Their attendance at the wedding, however, does not come without its challenges. As expected, the unavoidable clash between Bianca and Grant leads to yet another explosive confrontation. Fans of the show can expect a classic EastEnders argument as these two characters finally face off, rehashing the painful history that has defined their toxic relationship for decades. With emotions running high, the eventful wedding turns chaotic, with Bianca voicing her anger at Grant in front of family and friends.

While the showdown between Bianca and Grant steals the spotlight, the drama does not end there. The celebrations take a devastating turn when a massive explosion shakes the Queen Vic, shattering the wedding reception and throwing the lives of several beloved characters into jeopardy. The blast, set to play a major role in the anniversary storyline, promises a series of tragic consequences, as some characters may not survive the deadly blast. The explosive scenes will culminate in a live episode on Thursday, adding to the intensity of the anniversary week.

Honey, played by Emma Barton, who is at the heart of the wedding drama, hints at the magnitude of the events to come. “It’s going to be full on!” she teased. “Dramatic, beautiful, and sad. It’s a week of episodes not to be missed.”

As the show marks four decades of unforgettable drama, EastEnders fans can brace themselves for an unforgettable celebration of its history, featuring some of the most beloved characters and heart-wrenching moments. The explosive reunion between Bianca and Grant, followed by the wedding catastrophe, marks a defining moment in the 40th anniversary week, ensuring this milestone is a one to remember.
