Diane Parish, best known for her role as Denise Fox on EastEnders, has shared her thoughts on her character’s turbulent love life. 

Throughout her time in Walford, Denise has endured a rollercoaster of relationships, many of which have involved younger men. 

Now, Parish is calling out this recurring pattern, admitting she wishes Denise would finally break the cycle.

Denise has long been a fan-favorite on EastEnders, with her strong-willed nature and emotional depth making her one of the soap’s most compelling characters.

Reflecting on Denise’s romantic choices, Parish admitted: “She never learns, does she? I honestly wish she’d stop going for younger men. It never ends well for her, and yet she keeps making the same mistake. It’s like watching someone walk into a brick wall over and over again.”

One of Denise’s most memorable relationships was with Kush Kazemi, played by Davood Ghadami. Their romance caused a stir due to their significant age difference, and it ultimately ended in heartbreak. The writers always find a way to keep her on edge, and that’s what keeps her storylines interesting. Still, I wouldn’t mind seeing her make a better choice for once.”

While Denise has been through her fair share of romantic turmoil, Parish insists there’s more to her character than just heartbreak. “Denise is a survivor,” she says. “She’s been through so much in her life, from struggling with motherhood to battling financial difficulties, but she always bounces back. That’s what makes her such an incredible character to play.”

Parish also hinted at what could be next for Denise, teasing that upcoming episodes will see her dealing with the fallout of her recent decisions. “There’s a lot of soul-searching ahead for her,” she revealed. “She’s got to face the consequences of her actions, and whether she’ll finally change her ways remains to be seen.”
