The long-awaited return of the skate-off introduced a new level of competition, and the stakes were higher than ever after weeks of instant eliminations. 

Sir Steve Redgrave, Ferne McCann, and Chelsee Healey all made their exit, leaving behind the remaining stars eager to make their mark.

Reality star Dan Edgar stood out the previous week with a stunning performance, landing him at the top of the leaderboard with an impressive score of 38. 

However, as the new week kicked off, the leaderboard was reset, making way for the remaining contestants to compete for the top spot.

Sam’s routine was set to Salt-N-Pepa’s iconic track “Push It,” and the duo worked hard to bring a fresh, hip-hop-inspired performance to the rink. While the performance had its flaws, with the judges noting some areas that could be improved, Sam still earned a solid score of 34.5 out of 40 for his efforts. Judge Ashley Banjo was full of praise for Sam, despite his initial concerns. “When I heard you were doing this, I thought, ‘Oh my gosh this could be really bad,’” Ashley admitted. “But, honestly, I’m so confused. The further away you get from you in real life, the more comfortable you get in a performance.”

Despite the positive feedback, Sam ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard after Sunday night’s episode. The top spot went to reality star Dan Edgar, who, along with his skating partner Vanessa, earned a perfect score of 38, securing their position at the front of the pack.

As the evening continued, presenter Holly Willoughby shared an unforgettable moment with co-host Stephen Mulhern. The pair couldn’t stop laughing when Stephen appeared on stage in an 80s-themed outfit, complete with a pale blue suit, aviator shades, and a blonde wig. Holly struggled to compose herself as she asked, “Can you just talk me through what’s going on here?” Stephen jovially responded, “I will talk you through it actually, yes. I phoned you on Wednesday, we said we were going to do 80s on Sunday. You look incredible.”
