In the latest gripping episode of Coronation Street, Bobby Crawford found himself in a tough spot 

after Ryan Connor uncovered his secret plan to help his fugitive father, Rob Donovan. 

Rob, who is on the run after kidnapping Carla Connor, reached out to his son for financial assistance,

and Bobby seemed more than willing to oblige—until Ryan intervened.

Bobby’s Secret Plan Unraveled

The drama unfolded on Wednesday’s (January 19) episode when Ryan bumped into Daisy and reminded her to repay the money she owed Carla, who was struggling to cover her private hospital expenses. 

Shortly after, Ryan noticed Bobby behaving suspiciously while on the phone.

“Heading to the bank now, I’ll get as much as I can,” Bobby said to Rob, unknowingly being watched by Ryan.

Sensing something was off, Ryan followed Bobby and later caught him sneaking back into Underworld with a brown envelope in hand. Not one to ignore red flags, Ryan stormed into the building, snatched the envelope, and confronted him.

“You stupid idiot, I know exactly who this is for,” Ryan exclaimed. “It’s for Rob, isn’t it?”

Ryan Sets a Trap for Rob

Determined to put a stop to Bobby’s involvement with his criminal father, Ryan demanded answers. He pressured Bobby into revealing when and where he planned to hand over the cash. Armed with this information, Ryan decided to wait at the meeting spot in hopes of catching Rob in the act.

However, Rob, sensing the police presence in the area, remained in hiding and never showed up. Frustrated, Ryan returned to Underworld and accused Bobby of tipping off his father. Bobby, feeling conflicted, admitted that despite everything, he liked the feeling of being needed by Rob.

Ryan was stunned. “Are you serious? Carla nearly died because of your dad,” he reminded Bobby.

Meanwhile, at the police station, DS Lisa Swain was facing a battle of her own. She was given a heads-up by Kit Green about newly recovered evidence—a recording from Mandy’s burner phone, which captured Lisa’s earlier promise to Rob.

When DI Costello interrogated Lisa, she insisted that she had made the promise under duress. However, Costello wasn’t entirely convinced and appeared determined to uncover the truth.
