Coronation Street fans were on the edge of their seats during Monday night’s episode (February 3), 

as dramatic scenes saw No.8 Coronation Street engulfed in flames following a series of terrifying incidents connected to gangster Harvey Gaskell’s threats. 

However, while viewers were captivated by the intense drama and emotional moments, 

many couldn’t help but get distracted by a glaring “plot hole” involving a mysterious door that left them scratching their heads.

The Fire and the Tension

The episode saw Shona Platt and her son Max desperately trying to sell their house to escape the mounting threats from Harvey, 

who was seeking revenge after David Platt stole money that belonged to him. As the danger escalated, Shona and Max found themselves facing the terrifying reality of having to leave their home behind. Meanwhile, David, who was dealing with the consequences of his actions, sought help from former prison mate Andy. However, David’s decision to avoid Sarah’s birthday party, which was being held at the Bistro, raised some suspicions among viewers.

Elsewhere, Toyah Habeeb was dealing with her own drama as she walked in on a séance being conducted by several young children at the Platt household. After an argument with the kids, Toyah was confronted by Abi Franklin for her decision to call social services on her. The tension was high, but it only escalated when Abi, still haunted by flashbacks and hallucinations from the traumatic events surrounding Mason Radcliffe’s stabbing, lashed out. In an emotional moment, Abi accidentally knocked Toyah unconscious before fleeing the scene.
