In a surprising turn, Betsy Swain, the granddaughter of the late Becky Swain, offered to lend Carla £50,000 to help cover the costs of her kidney transplant. Betsy revealed that she had inherited the money from her late mother and was willing to help Carla in her time of need. Although this gesture provided some relief, it still left Carla needing an additional £50,000 to fully cover the transplant costs.
