Coronation Street fans were in for a surprise this week as Julie Carp made an unexpected return to Weatherfield after almost ten years away. 

Katy Cavanagh has reprised her role as the beloved yet quirky character, and while viewers are excited to see her back, it quickly becomes apparent that Julie is carrying a big secret.

was forced to reveal a long-kept family secret—Julie was actually Eileen Grimshaw’s half-sister, making Jason her nephew.

Over the years, Julie became a fan favorite, known for her bubbly personality and humorous outlook on life. She briefly dated Eileen’s then-boyfriend, Jessie Chadwick, before finding love with Brian Packham.
