EastEnders’ Zack Hudson is about to face a harrowing ordeal next week, as he becomes the 

target of a brutal attack—an incident directly linked to his ongoing battle with Nicola Mitchell over the truth about Barney’s paternity. What started as a shocking revelation about his past has now escalated into a dangerous game of secrets, blackmail, and desperate measures.

Zack recently discovered that he is the biological father of Barney, the result of a clandestine 

affair he had with Nicola 16 years ago. The news came as a complete shock to him, as he had no idea that his past fling with Nicola had resulted in a child. Determined to do the right thing, Zack urged Nicola to tell Barney the truth, believing that the teenager deserved to know who his real father is. However, Nicola was adamant about keeping this information from both Barney and her ex-partner, Teddy, fearing the consequences that the truth might bring.

Desperate to maintain her secret, Nicola took extreme measures to ensure Zack kept quiet. She resorted to blackmailing Sharon, using Sharon’s past with Grant against her in an attempt to prevent Zack from revealing the truth. However, Nicola’s scheme backfired when Sharon, unwilling to be manipulated, exposed Nicola’s ploy to Zack. In a last-ditch effort to distract from the issue, she hastily arranges a family trip to Spain, hoping that by taking Barney and Teddy away, she can delay—or completely avoid—having to confess the truth. But her plan quickly falls apart when Teddy outright refuses to go, leaving Nicola with even fewer options.

With no way out, Nicola finally appears to surrender to the inevitable and tells Zack that she has decided to come clean to Barney. She asks him to meet her at Harry’s Barn, setting the stage for what should be a life-changing revelation. However, Zack soon realizes that Nicola has no intention of peacefully admitting the truth. The moment he arrives at the barn, he is blindsided by a violent attack. Nicola, in her desperation, launches a vicious assault on Zack, making it clear that she will stop at nothing to keep her secret safe.

Meanwhile, Zack’s injuries and shaken demeanor do not go unnoticed. Shortly after the attack, he crosses paths with Sharon outside No. 3B, and although he tries to downplay what happened with a string of excuses, Sharon quickly becomes suspicious. She senses that something is terribly wrong and decides to take matters into her own hands.

Determined to get to the bottom of the situation, Sharon makes her way to Harry’s Barn, where a dramatic confrontation unfolds. In a tense and emotionally charged showdown, she and Nicola go head-to-head in front of a bewildered Teddy, Harry, and Barney. As the argument escalates, long-buried secrets and painful truths threaten to spill out, leaving everyone reeling.
