Coronation Street News: Sarah has had enough of her brother and no longer wants him and his family living under the same roof because David is like a magnet for trouble! Will she leave with her grandmother Audrey to move to Grasmere Drive?

Since Gail left, Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) has been keeping a relatively low profile,

choosing to focus on her own life away from the usual chaos that surrounds her family. However, in upcoming episodes of Coronation Street, Audrey finds herself faced with a significant decision when her grandson, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), presents her with a heartfelt request that could change both of their lives.

David has recently had a terrifying brush with death after being deliberately targeted in a

high-speed hit-and-run incident. This wasn’t just an unfortunate accident—it was a cold and calculated attempt on his life. The attack was orchestrated by Andy (Andrew Goth), acting on direct orders from notorious crime boss Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor). Harvey, known for his ruthless nature and unforgiving attitude, had run out of patience waiting for David to repay the large sum of money he owed him.

Realizing that he was a dead man walking if he didn’t act fast, David made a desperate decision. Instead of waiting for Harvey’s men to get to him in a slow and torturous manner, he convinced Andy to carry out the job in a way that would look like an accident—ensuring that his family would be left alone and spared from further threats. David’s financial troubles began when he stole money from Harvey, believing that doing so would help ease the burden on his family. The Platts had been struggling ever since Bethany (Lucy Fallon) fell gravely ill while in Turkey, requiring costly medical treatment and transportation back home. However, rather than solving their financial problems, David’s actions only made things far worse.

It didn’t take long for the Platt family to realize that they were being directly targeted. In a horrifying turn of events, their beloved dog was injured, and David’s wife, Shona (Julia Goulding), was kidnapped. Things escalated even further when an air gun was fired through the window of their home, sending shockwaves through the family and making it painfully clear that they were no longer safe at No. 8. With nowhere else to turn, they decided to flee the house, seeking refuge elsewhere. Sarah (Tina O’Brien) kindly offered them temporary shelter, letting them stay at her place as they tried to figure out their next move.

But things only spiraled further out of control when Max (Paddy Bever), desperate to find a way out of this mess, came up with a reckless plan. Believing that an insurance payout could help settle David’s debts once and for all, Max set fire to the family home. The plan backfired disastrously, as the blaze put not only Max but also Toyah (Georgia Taylor) in grave danger, nearly costing them their lives. Now, Max finds himself facing serious legal consequences and is staring down the possibility of a long prison sentence.

As David struggles to recover from the aftermath of the car crash, tensions are running high within the family. Accusations are being thrown around, and relationships are fraying under the pressure. Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) was also injured in the crash, further complicating matters. To make things worse, David’s attempt to orchestrate his own death has only made life even messier for those around him. His sister, Sarah, has reached her breaking point. She’s had enough of David’s endless troubles and the constant danger that follows him. After everything that has happened, she decides she can no longer house him, Shona, and their daughter Lily (Brooke Malonie).

With nowhere else to go, David turns to his grandmother, Audrey, in a moment of desperation. He asks her if it would be possible for him, Shona, and Lily to move into her home at Grasmere Drive. This is no small request, as Audrey has always valued her independence and cherishes the peace and quiet of her home. Given the relentless chaos that seems to follow the Platts wherever they go, Audrey has every reason to be hesitant. However, at the same time, she has always been fiercely loyal to her family. Over the years, she has opened her doors to them in times of need, providing them with a safe haven when things have gone terribly wrong.

Now, Audrey faces a difficult decision. Will she allow David and his family to move in, knowing full well that it could disrupt the sanctuary she has worked so hard to maintain? Or will she put her own needs first for once and refuse to take on the burden of housing them?
