Lisa (Vicky Myers) and Carla (Alison King) remain on high alert as the search for Rob

Donovan (Marc Baylis) continues. Despite reports suggesting he may have been spotted in Brighton, both women remain unconvinced, particularly in light of the unsettling break-in at Lisa’s flat. When they returned home to find their door forced open, their suspicions

deepened. A number of items had been stolen—most notably, a stash of money and a

supply of painkillers. To Carla and Lisa, this was more than just a random burglary. The targeted nature of the theft pointed directly to Rob.
Lisa, who has been struggling with the stress of the situation, feels a constant sense of unease. As much as she wants to believe the police reports that place Rob miles away, she can’t shake the feeling that he’s much closer than they think. Carla, equally wary, shares her concerns. Having dealt with Rob’s manipulative ways in the past, she knows he is more than capable of covering his tracks and misleading authorities about his whereabouts.

However, not everyone in Lisa’s household shares the same level of concern. Lisa’s teenage daughter, Betsy (Sydney Martin), remains skeptical of her mother’s fears. Unlike Carla and Lisa, Betsy believes the official report placing Rob elsewhere. Frustrated by what she sees as unnecessary paranoia, she refuses to let the situation disrupt her life. Instead of staying home and heeding her mother’s warnings, she chooses to spend the night out, completely dismissing any potential danger.
By morning, Lisa is frantic. When she goes to check on Betsy, she finds her daughter’s bed untouched—clear evidence that she never returned home. Panic quickly sets in as Lisa imagines the worst-case scenario. After everything that has happened, she can’t help but fear that Rob might have gotten to her. When Betsy eventually strolls in, hungover and indifferent to the worry she has caused, Lisa unleashes her frustration. She reads her daughter the riot act, warning her in no uncertain terms that it’s not safe to be out alone right now. But Betsy, as headstrong as ever, rolls her eyes at Lisa’s overprotectiveness and shrugs it off.

Determined to live her life on her own terms, Betsy ignores her mother’s warnings and heads back out again, convinced that Lisa and Carla are overreacting. However, as she wanders through the precinct, she starts to get the unnerving sense that she’s being watched. The hairs on the back of her neck stand up as she notices a man following her at a steady pace. Her heart begins to race as the realization dawns on her—her mother may have been right after all.
When the man suddenly breaks into a run, chasing after her, panic grips Betsy. She picks up her pace, weaving through the crowd in an attempt to lose him, but it’s no use. As he gets closer, we finally get confirmation of what Carla and Lisa feared most—Rob is indeed still in the area, and he’s after Betsy.

Later in the week, the situation takes an even darker turn. Carla receives a phone call from Lisa, and the tension in her voice is unmistakable. Lisa informs her that the police have discovered a body near the hospital, and there’s reason to believe it might be Rob. The news sends a chill through Carla. For years, she has wrestled with complicated feelings about her brother—love, betrayal, fear, and guilt all tangled together. Now, she may finally be getting an answer to the question that has loomed over them since his escape: is Rob dead?
Following police instructions, Carla makes her way to the mortuary to identify the body. The air is thick with tension as she walks through the sterile corridors, her heartbeat pounding in her ears. As she reaches the viewing area, the assistant prepares to reveal the face of the deceased. Carla takes a deep breath, bracing herself for what she is about to see.
