David Platt’s life is set to spiral further into chaos in Coronation Street, as he becomes the target of a shocking murder plot. 

Just when he thought things couldn’t get any worse, next week’s episodes will see David facing a terrifying encounter that could cost him his life.

The drama stems from a life-changing mistake David made last year when he took money belonging to dangerous criminal Harvey Gaskell. 

At the time, he believed there would be no consequences, given that Harvey was locked up behind bars. 

However, David quickly learned that Harvey’s influence stretched far beyond prison walls, leaving him in a desperate situation.

In a frantic bid to settle his debt, David considered setting fire to his own home to claim the insurance money. However, before he could go through with it, his son Max took matters into his own hands and ended up committing the arson himself.
