GH Spoilers: Drew believes that since he bought a house for Willow and her kids, he has the right to interfere in her custody battle with Michael! How will he ruin it?

On General Hospital, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has recently been the subject of intense fan criticism,

and it’s becoming increasingly clear that his obsession with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is going to have serious consequences, especially in the ongoing custody battle over her children.

His erratic behavior and lack of boundaries could ultimately harm Willow’s chances of gaining custody, especially when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) recovers.

Here’s why Drew’s actions may not just cost him a relationship with Willow, but also the future of her family.

Drew’s Lack of Focus and Priorities

Drew, once a disciplined Navy SEAL, is currently operating without the strategic thinking or self-control we would expect from someone with his background.

His obsession with Willow has become unhinged, leaving him more consumed with his personal feelings than focusing on the well-being of his children, particularly Scout (Cossette Abinante), who has been noticeably absent from the storyline. Drew’s lack of attention to his daughter is already raising questions about his parenting ability, and a family court judge is unlikely to look favorably on his neglect of his own child while pursuing a relationship with Willow.

Willow’s Actions and the Custody Battle

When it comes to Willow, her actions are also putting her custody case in jeopardy. The constant presence of Drew in her life, including taking her son Wiley (Viron Weaver) on a trip to D.C., sends a strong message that she is trying to replace Michael in the children’s lives. A family court judge will view this as an attempt to undermine the father-child bond, especially since the marriage between Michael and Willow was not yet fully dissolved when she became involved with Drew. By quickly introducing Drew into her kids’ lives, Willow could appear reckless in the eyes of the court, which will not bode well for her custody case.

The Unsettling Pattern of Moving

Another major issue for Willow is her erratic behavior when it comes to where she lives. In recent months, her kids have moved between various residences, including the main house, the gatehouse, and Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) apartment. A judge may look at this pattern of instability and see it as a negative reflection on Willow’s ability to provide a stable home for her children. This constant shifting is not just disruptive to the children; it paints a picture of a mother who is unable to provide consistency and permanence. When asked why she can’t maintain a stable home, Willow might find herself admitting that her decisions have been driven by personal conflict, like her desire to get back at Tracy (Jane Elliot). This will undoubtedly undermine her credibility in family court.

Drew’s Increasing Control and Manipulation

As if his obsession with Willow wasn’t enough, Drew’s actions are increasingly crossing boundaries in ways that could damage his reputation and even his political career. His unrelenting push to become a father figure to Willow’s kids, regardless of how it affects Michael, is a blatant disregard for personal boundaries and healthy relationships. The way Drew has used his power as a congressman to blackmail and manipulate others, such as attempting to get special favors from Anna (Finola Hughes), will come under scrutiny. Diane (Carolyn Hennesy), Willow’s lawyer, is sure to bring up his past actions in court, painting him as a man who is unfit to take on the responsibility of being a parent. With all of his legal and moral failings exposed, Drew’s standing as a credible, stable figure in the children’s lives will be seriously questioned.

The Media Spotlight and Public Scrutiny

Drew’s personal and professional life has already been placed under a public microscope, especially after his confrontation with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) at the Metro Court. During their heated exchange, Carly revealed all of Drew’s dirty laundry, from his lies to his manipulative behavior. As the press picks up on this, Drew’s political career could also be at risk, with the spotlight now on his questionable decisions. The more time Drew spends in D.C., the less consistent he will be for Willow’s children, especially Wiley and Amelia. In the eyes of the court, his increased time away from Port Charles will further contribute to the image of a man unable to provide the stability children need.

The Ultimate Choice for Willow

Ultimately, Willow may face a tough decision. As her custody battle intensifies, she may have to choose between continuing her relationship with Drew or fighting for custody of her children. The combination of Drew’s reckless behavior, her own instability, and the manipulation that has marked their relationship may be too much for a court to overlook. Willow may find that the very thing she desires most—being with Drew—could end up jeopardizing her ability to keep her family together.

Willow’s best chance in this custody fight is to focus on providing stability for her children. If she continues down the path of moving from place to place, prioritizing her relationship with Drew over her kids’ well-being, she risks losing it all. The coming weeks on General Hospital will undoubtedly reveal whether or not she can turn things around before it’s too late.

Drew’s obsession with Willow, combined with his lack of discipline and the instability surrounding their relationship, is likely to hurt her custody case in the long run. With Michael’s recovery on the horizon, Drew’s unchecked behavior could be the final nail in the coffin for Willow’s fight to maintain custody of her children. As the drama unfolds, fans are left wondering whether Willow will choose her relationship with Drew or the stability of her family. The clock is ticking, and the courtroom battle could be a turning point for all involved.
