Emmerdale has dropped a bombshell in its latest ITVX episode, finally revealing the true identity of Anthony Fox’s killer after weeks of suspense and shocking revelations.

As viewers have been gripped by the drama surrounding his death, the truth has now been brought to light,
leaving fans stunned and questioning the fates of some of their favourite characters.
In recent episodes, the storyline surrounding the death of Anthony Fox (played by Nicholas Day) has been shrouded in mystery.

Initially, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) was believed to be the one responsible for Anthony’s death after a violent confrontation at Caleb Miligan’s (William Ash) depot.

Aaron, grappling with unresolved trauma from his own abuse at the hands of his father, Gordon,

attacked Anthony after learning that he had sexually abused Aaron’s close friend Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) when she was a teenager. The brutal beating left Aaron convinced that he had killed Anthony.
However, when Aaron returned to the scene to check on Anthony, he discovered to his horror that the man was already dead. Aaron, filled with guilt and unsure of what to do next, confided in his boyfriend, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). John, seeing the magnitude of the situation, took control and helped Aaron cover up the crime, disposing of the body and erasing any traces of what had happened. Both Aaron and John kept quiet, fearing the consequences of a confession.
But the drama took an unexpected turn when Aaron, unable to cope with the weight of his guilt, sought out Ruby to confess what he had done. In a tense confrontation, Aaron poured his heart out to Ruby, explaining that he had attacked her father in a fit of rage, believing that Anthony had been responsible for so much pain in Ruby’s life. What Aaron didn’t expect was the shocking revelation Ruby dropped on him.

In a jaw-dropping moment, Ruby revealed that it wasn’t Aaron who killed Anthony – it was her. The truth about Anthony’s death was finally laid bare, leaving Aaron and viewers in complete shock. Flashback scenes then revealed the pivotal moment Ruby came face-to-face with her father after Aaron’s departure from the scene. When Ruby arrived at the depot, she found Anthony still alive on the floor, but he grabbed her, triggering an overwhelming flood of anger and trauma. Ruby, unable to control her emotions, turned on her father and suffocated him, ultimately ending his life.
“I wasn’t looking down at my father anymore,” Ruby tearfully confessed. “I was looking down at the thing that had ruined my life.” This heartbreaking moment, paired with Ruby’s subsequent confession to her husband, Caleb, revealed the extent of the dark secrets that had plagued the Fox family for years. Anthony’s violent past had left an indelible mark on Ruby, and his death was the tragic result of her pent-up rage and years of suffering.
After the murder, Ruby and Caleb hatched a plan to dispose of the body, but they were blindsided when they discovered that Aaron and John had already handled the situation themselves. This added another layer of tension, as Ruby and Caleb were left scrambling to keep their involvement a secret, while also grappling with the consequences of Anthony’s death.

The tension reached new heights when Aaron, still reeling from the truth, confronted Ruby about her role in Anthony’s murder. Furious and hurt by her secrecy, Aaron accused Ruby and Caleb of manipulating him into believing that he was responsible for the crime. However, when Aaron learned about the full extent of Anthony’s crimes, including his shocking revelation that Anthony was the biological father of Ruby’s daughter, Steph (Georgia Jay), Aaron reluctantly agreed to drop the matter for Ruby’s sake.
With Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) overhearing the argument between Ruby, Aaron, Caleb, and John, it became clear that this tangled web of lies and deceit was far from over. Chas demanded answers, setting the stage for more explosive revelations in the coming episodes.
