EastEnders star Louisa Lytton, who portrays Ruby Allen, 

has shared an intriguing behind-the-scenes detail about her character’s history with Martin Fowler (James Bye) and their surprising wedding.

In an exclusive interview with *Inside Soap*, Lytton opened up about the plans that had initially been in place for Ruby and Martin’s wedding, 

revealing that the couple’s marriage was intended to be filmed on location. However, the Covid-19 lockdown brought about unexpected changes to those plans. As a result, Ruby and Martin’s wedding ended up taking place off-screen, which Lytton admitted was disappointing for her as an actress. “With their first wedding, there was talk of going on location to film it,” she explained. “Then lockdown happened, and it ended up taking place off-screen. I was done out of a soap wedding – I must be due one!”

Despite the unconventional circumstances surrounding their first wedding, the love story between Ruby and Martin has remained a key storyline on *EastEnders*. Maybe she could work for her?
