General Hospital Spoilers: Is Marty Next on Sonny’s Chopping Block, Sets Out to Prove Mob Boss The Murderer?

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) made a rather bold move suggesting to his client, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), that they get her out of prison by proving someone else committed the crime she is charged with.

The only problem? Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) killed FBI Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) and everyone kind of knows it.

But since Sonny is the person cutting Marty’s checks, it’s alarming that he would readily go up against him to prove Alexis’ innocence while protecting Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) and helping Alexis weasel out of incriminating herself and lying to the police.

Does Marty have a bone to pick with the renowned mobster he was so quick to offer his services to?

General Hospital Spoilers — Sam and Molly Pitch In

Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is desperate to get her mother out of prison, and it wasn’t beneath her to bed Carly Spence (Laura Wright) — with tears in her eyes — to recant her statement about hooking up with Sonny so that the police might have another more credible perpetrator to focus on.

Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and Sam are bound to come together and work this case until they find a way to put pressure on Carly that makes it too difficult to sustain the lie.

If Sonny starts to think Carly could go down for the crime he committed, will he come forward and confess?

This would serve Marty incredibly well in getting his client off the hook without looking like he was involved in going against the man who is paying his legal fees.

GH Spoilers Remind Sonny Did Nearly Kill Cyrus

While it looked like Marty was rather keen on helping Sonny from the moment he showed up at his penthouse, he may not have taken kindly to the don letting him know he’s already got representation — and how much better she is than him.

However, Marty’s ego probably has less to do with this than Sonny’s history. Marty may not be a big fan of his brother, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), but that doesn’t mean he was cool with Sonny nearly putting him in his grave.

Having almost killed his brother, and wanting to see it through but merely lacking the opportunity to, it’s safe to say Marty knows just what kind of guy Sonny is.

General Hospital Spoilers — Will the Don Let This Slide?

For the time being, Sonny has no idea that Marty is colluding with Molly, and it’s safe to say he probably won’t know right away that Sam jumps on board either.

But in time, we expect he’s going to find out — at least about Sam, who is already on his radar. When Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) told Sonny that Sam was adamant about him being the real guilty party, Sonny filed it away as something to be aware of but not necessarily an imminent risk.

If he learns that Marty is helping to facilitate Sam and Molly proving he’s guilty as a means of proving Alexis isn’t, he’s not going to take it lying down.

But how far will he go to protect himself if it means harming a hair on Sam’s head, or Molly’s, and how will he make Marty pay for betraying him? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
